Corona virus protection and self care for students

A1 driving school keeps its students at the heart of what they do. See below the precautions we would like all students to take during and at the beginning of each of their lessons

Students are required to fully Sanitise their hands before they begin their lessons. Please aim to being your own hand Sanitiser, if not, we can provide this for you.

You will be required to wipe down the Steering wheel and the whole operation area with a antibacterial wipe before lessons begins. This wipe will then need to be handed to your instructor who will dispose of it in a sealed bag

If you feel you are suffering from any flu like or suspect you may have corona virus please call your instructor in ample time to cancel your lesson.

If it is suspected during your lessons your have any concerning Symptons your driving instructor will cancel your lesson with immediate effect. There may not be any charge for this lesson (this will be decided at the instructors discretion)

A1 driving school does not hold any responsibility if you feel cornona virus is caught during your lesson nor will they be held liable. As we fully promote self care and all necessary precautions to take.

I came to A1 Driving School after having a horrible experience with other well-known established and recommended driving school.Sonia and Tan who both gave me my driving lessons were by far the best driving instructors I ever had Both put me at ease and encouraged me to stay positive and helped me on all my driving faults.They restored my confidence and because of them I was able to pass my practical test. Fantastic Driving School! I changed from a previous instructor which i was making no progress with and i managed to pass with Instructor Zaf within a few weeks. For example going around the roundabouts with a smart and safe strategy and even preparing myself to slow down at a junctions and much more, such things as these were not taught to me by previous instructors. A1 Driving School Instructors put effort in to your lessons and go in to further detail and in depth to help a individual understand the errors and how to rectify those and become the best and safest driver you can be. I switched to A1 driving school as I needed to pass my test quickly. After 10 double lessons I was ready to take the test and passed for the first time. One of the driving instructor’s Tan who taught me was reliable when it comes to attendance as well as structured when it comes to his teaching methods. I Just passed my driving test 1st time (Four Minors). Tan (A1 Driving School) is an amazing driving instructor! I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is so kind, patient and thoughtful. He is an excellent teacher and explain things in an extra ordinary and understandable way. He had such a vast knowledge of the areas I was driving in and a clear goal to help me succeed. The best quality driving school in Derby. Would highly recommend. A1 driving school have they beat cars and the best instructors. I passed my test first time in a short space of time. I am extremely satisfied with the service. I come from Birmingham to derby to take lessons as a they are highly established as they have demonstrated first hand to me. A1 has big plans for the future. I will not ruin any of the surprises. Best instructor is zaffran. He got me passed extremely quickly. I am very happy that I have passed but I am disappointed as I will no longer be able to drive the golf r or see Zaff on a regular weekly bases. He wasn’t just my instructor. Definitely recommend A1 Driving school especially Ferzana as she helped me achieve this pass first time she remained patient and also guided me and explained things I was not sure about thoroughly throughout my driving lessons. I would highly recommend A1 driving school, I was able to pass first time with the help of my instructor Tan. They are flexible and very reliable. I wish to point out that this is a genuine review. I am not here to discredit any individual or business without any justification. This review is based upon personal experience. Happy with the service until the instructor decided to switch driving instructor at short notice. Reluctantly agreed to this, however no reason was given for this. When I asked to book my lesson with the original driving instructor, I was told “Why” by the original driving instructor. This left me confused as I believed this driving lesson with a different driving instructor was a one off. So based upon his reply, he obviously wanted me to continue with this new driving instructor after having eleven lessons with him previously. Asked again, and he replied saying he will agree to teach me. Had to chase him four days until he agreed a time with me. This left me annoyed and confused. Therefore I decided not to continue further.read more

Absolutely brilliant school, couldn’t even start a car at the beginning and they were patient, supportive and enthusiastic and thanks to that I passed in no time. I started taking lessons with A1 driving school after coming from another instructor who I failed my test previously with and after 8 or 9 months of having not drove. Zaf was straightforward with me from day 1 and told me to let my driving speak for itself. He took me for my test as soon as I thought I was ready and I managed to pass first time with A1. After struggling to pass my driving test with 2 different instructors; I was recommended to Mo. Today I passed my driving test all thanks to him!! He’s an absolutely fantastic instructor who I would recommend very highly. I found all the lessons to be paced perfectly, well organised and crammed full of new learning. At the same time, they were very chilled which really helped to build my confidence on the roads. Would like to give a big thanks to A1 driving school Zaf he helped me out alot on my lessons really good teacher explains things to you clearly, I was having lesson in the past with a different driving school and there standards dont match A1 driving school Zaf's at all, he is a really highly experienced driving instructor and I recommend zaf and the school as they do not employ any workers who fall below average, I thank zaf alot for helping me on my lessons and getting me ready for my test and getting that pass, very nice guy 100% recommended 👌🏼

I came from another driving school to Zaf at A1 Driving school and I could see a massive difference in the quality of his lessons and learned so much more from him in one lesson then 4 with the other driving school, the lessons were amazing and Zaf is a really easy person to get on with and he can have a laugh with you aswell as teaching you everything you need to know to pass your test, the car was so nice to drive and I enjoyed every second of it, I recommend A1 driving school to anyone that wants to be passed fast and wants the highest quality of lessons

Just passed and can’t recommend A1 enough! Mo is a brilliant instructor and really helped me gain confidence on the road. The atmosphere was always positive and constructive and I could see for myself that I was making progress throughout. I had previously been with different driving school and can confidently say that switching to A1 was the best move I did.
